March 3-9

After a great weekend with Mike's family, it was time to go through our weekly coupons and hit up the grocery store for this week's menu. No picture this week but we managed to save about 45% of our bill with coupons and Safeway's Just 4 U e-coupons.

On the menu:
Sunday: 
Brunch @ The Silver Diner
Dinner: Gyro from House of Kabob
Monday: Pulled pork sliders on pretzel rolls, coleslaw, and onion rings
Tuesday: Salisbury Steak (adapted from here)
Wednesday: 
Breakfast:  poached egg on pretzel roll with hashbrowns
Lunch: tomato, mozzerella, and basil salad
Dinner:  Pho Noodle Bowl
Thursday: Asparagus soup with poached egg
Friday: Fish Tacos
Saturday: Dinner with friends at Pasta Plus

Monday:

Coleslaw:
Bag of coleslaw mix
1/2 white onion
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp red pepper flakes
a dash of hot sauce
honey and shredded cheese to taste (to reduce the heat)


Tuesday:

Salisbury Steak over egg noodles

Wednesday:

Poached egg and hashbrowns

Tomato, mozzarella and basil salad



Week of 3/18

Monday: Honey Sesame Chicken with rice and broccoli

The chicken was good but make sure you use regular sesame oil and not hot sesame oil because my mouth was on fire.

Tuesday: Salmon with couscous


Wednesday: Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati brown rice, and garlic cheese naan
